Kathleen's Biography

Kathleen Sheehan is a sociologist with interests in youth justice, social inclusion, and nonprofit fields. She is a mixed methods researcher trained in social network analysis. Her doctoral thesis (TCD) explored collaboration and social change in the field of nonprofits that support asylum seekers in Ireland. Prior to working with REPPP, she was the Research Officer in Limerick’s Regeneration Office. Her current postdoctoral work focuses on young people’s experiences of child criminal exploitation. She has been awarded funding for previous research from the Irish Research Council and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth.
